As part of the ongoing Outdoor Play Improvements Project there are plans to upgrade the small play area called Burleigh Manor in Peverell. The area currently has a small climbing unit that has reached the end of its life and a swing set. The project will replace the old wooden play unit with a brand new junior climbing frame including a slide and fireman's pole. The swing set will be repainted and a set of small 5 aside goals will be added on the grass to prevent the perimeter walls from being damaged by ball games.
The improvements will benefit all local children in the area and will provide a quieter, more local alternative the strategic and very popular play space in Central Park.
