The Health Overview and Scrutiny Panel undertook a review into access to NHS dental services in Plymouth. The Panel’s aim was to develop an understanding of how NHS dentistry operated, and the local access problems. It also looked into how the problems of access were being addressed in the development plans for the service not only locally in Plymouth, but also in the South West Peninsula, particularly in the context of tackling health inequalities.
