Councillor Jonny Morris (Chair of the Brexit, Infrastructure and Legislative Change Overview and Scrutiny Committee) introduced the report the select committee held to consider the Fisheries White Paper.

Following a short debate Cabinet agreed –

1.    to support the recommendations made by the Select Committee Review on the Council’s launch of a sustainable fishing plan;

2.    the responses to DEFRA’s fishing white paper – Sustainable Fisheries for Future Generations;

3.    to thank the Committee and Chair for the exemplary work undertaken at the review.
