Decision:
Cabinet agreed to -
1. Approve the Business Case (as detailed in the Part II report);
2. Delegate the award of demolition and construction contracts to Anthony Payne, Strategic Director for Place.
Minutes:
Councillor Evans OBE (Leader) introduced the report on Plymouth Railway Regeneration. Councillor Evans OBE advised that the Railway Station was the City’s most important gateway providing often providing the first and last impression of Plymouth for visitors to the City. The work undertaken in respect of the Railway Station regeneration had been lauded as innovative and an example of national best practice.
Following a short presentation and from Mark Brunsdon (Head of Strategic Development Projects) and Trevor Goff (Principal Surveyor) Cabinet agreed to -
1. Approve the Business Case (as detailed in the Part II report);
2. Delegate the award of demolition and construction contracts to Anthony Payne, Strategic Director for Place.
