Cabinet will receive a report on the Grant Conditions Attached to the Funding for Adult Social Care Announced in the Spring Budget 2017.

Councillor Mrs Bowyer and Councillor Darcy outline the arrangements to develop Plymouth City Council detailed plans for additional Adult Social Care funding allocations announced Spring Budget 2017.

 

Following a short debate and questions, Cabinet agreed to -

 

1.    note the three year additional funding total of £11.275m which is allocated 2017/18 £5.800m; 2018/19 £3.660m and 2019/20 £1.815m;

2.    note the requirement to pool this additional funding into the existing Better Care Fund (BCF) as set out in the government guidelines;

3.    note the terms and conditions attached to the funding, in particular the requirement for Plymouth City Council to provide a quarterly finance report to DCLG, signed by the Section 151 Officer;

4.    authorise senior officers to develop detailed plans for this additional funding in line with the existing delegation powers;

5.    authorise senior officers to seek approval of the resultant plans with the Health and Wellbeing Board;

6.    notes Plymouth City Council’s intention to work with NEW Devon CCG to develop an application to “Graduate from BCF”.
