Freedom of the City To pass the following resolution –
FREEDOM OF THE CITY
That in the pursuance of its powers under Section 249(1) of the Local Government Act 1972, the Council confers the title of Freedom of the City in recognition of his eminent services to the City of Plymouth and his charity work –
Mark Ormrod MBE
(Section 249 of the Local Government Act 1972 provides that the foregoing honour may be conferred by resolution of the Council passed by not less than two thirds of the members voting thereon at a meeting specially convened for the purpose). Additional documents: Minutes: Councillor Kelly (Leader of the Council) introduced the nomination for Mark Ormrod MBE to be bestowed the honour Freedom of the City. The motion was seconded by Councillor Evans OBE (Leader of the opposition).
