Exempt Information

To consider passing a resolution under Section 100A(4) of the Local Government Act, 1972 to exclude the press and the public from the meeting for the following items of business, on the grounds that they involve the likely disclosure of exempt information, as defined in paragraph 1 of Part 1 of Schedule 12A of the Act, as amended by the Freedom of Information Act 2000.

The Committee agreed to pass a resolution under Section 100A(4) of the Local Government Act, 1972 to exclude the press and the public from the meeting for the following items of business, on the grounds that they involved the likely disclosure of exempt information, as defined in paragraph 1 and 7 of Part 1 of Schedule 12A of the Act, as amended by the Freedom of Information Act 2000.

Review Status of a Private Hire Vehicle Driver Licence

The Committee agreed to defer the hearing until the Taxi Licensing Committee on 23 July 2026, to allow the driver to attend the hearing.

Review status of a Private Hire Vehicle Driver Licence and Private Hire Vehicle Licence

The Committee agreed:  

  1. To take no action against the Private Hire Vehicle Driver’s Licence;  

 

  1. To take no action against the Private Hire Vehicle Licence.

Review Status of a Hackney Carriage Vehicle Driver Licence

The Committee agreed:  

  1. To suspend the Hackney Carriage Vehicle Driver Licence for seven days.

 

11.

Review Status of Private Hire Vehicle Drivers Licence

Minutes:

The Committee took the following into account:  

a)    All that was said by the driver;  

 

b)    The information contained within the report;  

 

c)    All relevant policies referred to in the report.  

 

The Committee agreed:  

  1. To suspend the Private Hire Vehicle Drivers Licence for a period of six weeks;

  1. To impose a requirement to retake the Driving Standards Test within six weeks.

Application for the Grant of a Private Hire Vehicle Driver Licence
