Review Status of a Hackney Carriage Vehicle Driver Licence The Director of Public Health will submit a report on the review status of a hackney carriage vehicle driver licence. Minutes: The Committee –
The Committee asked themselves the question, set out in the Council’s policy, as to whether they would allow someone they cared about or a vulnerable person to get into a vehicle driven by this individual, and the answer was no.
Members agreed that this driver was no longer considered to be a fit and proper person and that the licence would be revoked in accordance with Section 19 Plymouth City Council Act 1975 on the grounds of being convicted of an offence involving violence and “any other reasonable cause”.
