The Lifelong Learning Overview and Scrutiny Panel has responsibility for scrutiny of the following specific areas of Council operation –

·                     Education and Children’s Services

·                     Lifelong Learning Services

·                     Library Services

·                     Leisure Services

·                     Cultural Strategy

·                     The Portfolio(s) and actions of the Cabinet member(s) with responsibilities for education and leisure services

·                     The Portfolio and actions of the Leader

Overview and Scrutiny Functions and Procedure Rules are contained at page 66 in the Constitution at Part 3 (Overview & Scrutiny Functions and Procedures).

Work Programme

Panel work programmes are reviewed regularly to ensure the workload is sufficient and manageable. Ongoing reviews will feed regularly into agenda’s with new review items being completed before moving to the next new review.
