Local Pump Track
I and many others believe that Plymouth is missing a pump track in our city. This is due to a lot of other cities and towns building pump tracks for there locals. Building one of these tarmac pump tracks would be largely beneficial to the local community allowing people to socialise, exercise and find an interest in new activities and sports and even welcoming already experienced riders to be able to ride without having to get in there car and travel to the nearest pump. As this is not possible for younger riders looking to go out and have some fun. Although we do already have a skate park in Central Park this cannot be easily ridden on a bike due to the small scale and not enough room to build up any speed. And the current facilities are too busy to be able to ride any bike larger than a BMX. Building a pump track would also allow for a safer environment allowing people to ride in controlled safe environments that are not being illegally built on private land. Pump tracks can be built to allow for a wide range of ability bike riders and scooter riders to safely use and also be able to provide for those more advanced levels of riders out there. This is also something that a lot of riders in Plymouth have been wanting for a while. Thanks for reading my reasoning for building a pump track and I hope that the Plymouth City Council will be able to provide this facility for the locals of Plymouth.
