Plymouth City Council - ePetition details

Have your say! Central Park deserves better!

We the undersigned petition the council to: ……………………………………………………………...…….... 1. Understand why this project has left people dissatisfied. 2. Communicate with and listen to the park community to plan and agree something better. 3. Remove temporary fencing and reinstate access to public spaces. 4. Commission an independent review to facilitate improvements.

Our beautiful Central Park has been disrupted and spoiled by the Ponds Project. It has gone on for far too long and made too much mess. Our park should inspire tranquillity, not frustration.

The Panel Agreed:

To recommend that a comprehensive communication plan be developed to enhance communication for the park works project. This plan should include regular (at least monthly) updates via multiple channels, clear signage in affected areas, and an outline of the project plan so residents can understand the scheduled works and timelines.

The project will be added to the Panel’s work programme for the 2025/26 Municipal Year.
