Social Housing Decarbonisation Fund Wave 2

Plymouth City Council have been awarded £7,061,597 from the Government to deliver significant improvements to the energy efficiency of 725 social homes in the city.

This comes from Wave 2.1 of the Social Housing Decarbonisation Fund (SHDF), which is designed to allocate £800m in funding across England to ensure thousands of social homes are upgraded to reach an Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) C-Rating.

Plymouth City Council will administer the funds on behalf of the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero (DESNZ), whilst PCH and LiveWest will be responsible for delivery.
The decision will require the leader to accept the grant as well as adding it to the capital programme. It will also require delegation of authority to the Service Director for Strategic Planning and Infrastructure to enter into agreements relating to the grant.
