Security Services Contract Award 2025

To authorise the award of the new security services contract by the delegated officer (head of service for facilities management) to the selected security company/-ies following finalisation of the procurement process.

The award of contract is for 2 lots:

1. Lot 1 Facilities management guarding, keyholding and response to meet the councils legal and insurance responsibilities and protection of council buildings and staff. Award to the most economically advantages submission.
2. Lot 2 Events and Elections regarding public safety, ensuring the council meets its legal obligations regarding public safety and non-interference with elections. Award to the most economically advantages submission.

The initial contract will be for 5 years with an additional option to extend it by 2+1+1. Maximum contract period ten years. This is to ensure the council has continuity of cover and is not left at risk.

Expected contract award would be in June 2025, contracts would commence 01/09/2025.
