Plymouth City Council Transformation Strategy
The complex and multiple financial pressures
on the Council require us to undertake further corporate
Transformation particularly in the areas of early intervention and
prevention as well as overall operational effectiveness. To create
capacity and reduce costs whilst ensuring we continue to innovate
and test new ideas.
This Decision will endorse the Council’s Transformation
Strategy and associated programmes and projects.
The Decision will include:
- Approval of the structure of our Transformation Portfolio
including the themed workstreams.
- Approval of the key projects and programmes in terms of what they
seek to achieve.
- Approval of the governance principles controlling decision making
over the portfolio.
- Approval of the financial contribution, investment and savings,
to be made by the portfolio over the period of the Medium-Term
Financial Plan.
- Note the financial principles underpinning the use of flexible
capital receipts to help fund the investment required to deliver
the portfolio.
- Noting the establishment of a Corporate Programme Management
Office to provide support and assurance to the delivery of the
portfolio.
- The Decision is needed to continue the delivery of our
Transformation Portfolio.
