Disabled Facilities Grant Allocation to Capital Programme

 

 

The purpose of this decision is to agree the allocation and spend of £3,616,778?Disabled Facilities Grant from the Better Care Fund to Plymouth, which is ring-fenced to support the statutory delivery of home adaptations for disabled residents. This funding plays a crucial role in enabling individuals to?maintain?independence and remain in their homes for longer.?

The decision includes £250,000 to reflect the arrangement with Plymouth Community Homes (PCH) for up to £250,000 which is made available annually to support adaptations within their housing stock.

The Better Care Fund is?allocated?on an annual basis and underpins the ongoing delivery of this essential programme. In the last?financial year, the service successfully delivered?432?adaptations and completed?368?cases through the Dynamic Purchasing System.?
