Information to be considered by the decision makers: Written report to Cabinet giving details of the Home Energy Strategy and what is involved. This will outline areas of work priorities developed in consultation with key staff, external partners and the public. These areas include the following - Establish Energy Efficiency Action areas (or a 'Warm Zone') Develop and market a range of energy efficiency / renewable energy schemes that address local needs Quantify and cost the measures required to meet the HECA target and other targets e.g in relation to fuel poverty, renewable energy and climate change Policies for ensuring homes are built and refurbished to a high standard and what the standard should be. A detailed breakdown of Council commitments will be presented along with other service / partner commitments.
