Tamar Estuaries Consultative Forum

Description

Summary of Terms of Reference

At the final Civil Water Management Steering Committee meeting it was decided to establish a forum of statutory bodies with a common interest in our common asset, our common resource, and with a common aim of promoting, for the people of the area, a viable sustainable future for the waters and contiguous areas of the River Tamar Estuaries.  In particular the forum is to work, in concert, towards an integrated approach to the management of the waters and contiguous areas of the River Tamar estuaries as defined in the Dockyard Port of Plymouth Order 1999.

The aim/purpose of the TECF

To promote, for the common good and the benefit of all, a viable sustainable future for the people, the waters and contiguous areas of the River Tamar estuaries.

To develop, implement, and monitor a realistic management plan for the common asset and resource.

How is the TECF to achieve its aim/purpose?

Through discussion and consensus, work in concert for an integrated approach to the management of the common asset. A collaborative approach.
