Community Grants 2020/21





To support Devon and Cornwall Food Action look after vulnerable residents during the Coronavirus outbreak - running costs associated with deliveries and fuel costs.




St Pauls Church Torridge Way have started a foodbank to help families within the community. They are currently putting together Christmas food hampers for less fortunate families within the Efford and Lipson Ward - young and old will benefit from this.




To support Lipson Co-operative Academy with IT equipment for the school, due to Covid 19, young people are having to home school. This contribution will help provide laptops which will enable more young people to work from home more efficiently.


To support High View Primary School by contributing towards providing £420 towards Art Packs and £2,185 towards purchasing laptops. Due to the COVID19 pandemic, many young people have been struggling with schoolwork as they have to work from home. Art packs will help them to learn and the laptops will assist children who do not have access to a laptop at home.


To support Laira Green Primary School with the purchase of Chromebooks and Art Packs. Due to Covid 19 many young people are struggling to complete their school work, this contribution will help support their learning at home and support those who do not have access to computers or the internet for their home schooling which will manage their school work more efficiently. £2,185 will support Chromebooks. £420 will support Art Packs.


To support Lipson Vale Primary School with the purchase of Chromebooks/laptops and Art Packs so that young people will be able to work when home more efficiently.  £420 is to be used to purchase 120 Art Packs and £2,185 will be used to help purchase chromebooks/laptops, for young people who haven't got access to digital learning.

To help fund H.M.S Royal Navy Band to perform in Jersey. Representing our City of Plymouth in front of dignitaries. Showing the City and raising the profile of the band as a whole in order to foster good relations with the wider public and community of Plymouth for the joy of everyone.

To help MIND promote suicide awareness with young men




Dash of Silver Male Cancer Awareness Charity. This charity provides Dash Care Packs to patients undergoing treatment, they also run a cancer support group Dashnet to help patients undergoing treatment for cancer. This donation will benefit the whole of the City helping towards giving patients the best possible care that they deserve




Donation to Clean Our Patch - Community litter pickers for a gazebo to be used across the City to educate communities.


To donate towards necessary equipment for an Art project working alongside the South East Youth Forum for all of the community to get involved with.




To place a defibrillator outside Efford Youth Club, Blandford Road for the community to access.
