The Chair will receive and respond to questions from members of the public submitted in accordance with the Council’s procedures. A Member referred to the recent staffing changes in the Planning Enforcement Team and requested an update. Members were advised that an advert for a Senior Enforcement Officer had been advertised yet not filled so the advert would be re-posted. Whilst this post was vacant, two Area Planning Managers were covering the supervision of the planning enforcement service; the number of outstanding enforcement cases had dramatically reduced under their supervision.

 

There were currently three officers working on enforcement with varied experience.

 

Members made a request to be kept updated with progress on staffing within the Planning Enforcement Team.

 

The Committee noted the report.

The Service Director for Strategic Planning and Infrastructure, acting under powers delegated to him by the Council, will submit a schedule outlining all decisions issued since the last meeting –

 

1)  Committee decisions;

2)  Delegated decisions, subject to conditions where so indicated;

3)  Applications withdrawn;

4)  Applications returned as invalid.
