Applicant:                 Mr N Bishop

Ward:                     Peverell

Mr N Bishop

Decision:  Refused due for the following reason

The amount of development proposed at four dwellings is considered overdevelopment of a residential garden and would result in town cramming.  The amount of development would impact on the protected trees on site and would not be able to provide adequate mitigation on site.  The loss of protected trees are considered to have an unacceptable impact on the character and appearance of the Conservation Area.  The proposal is therefore contrary to Joint Local Plan policies DEV10, DEV20, DEV21, DEV23 and DEV28 and the NPPF.

(The Committee heard from Councillor Carson, Ward Councillor).

(The Committee heard from Stephen James against the application).
