Plymouth Drake Foundation - The Community Charity
Description
The Plymouth Drake Foundation is a local community charity, covering the Plymouth area, supporting small voluntary and community groups by providing grants to help their cause. We also help companies and individuals who want to give something back to their community by supporting local causes.
Promoting Children in Plymouth (PCiP) is our initiative to specifically eradicate the social injustice, ill-health and misery caused by child poverty in Plymouth. It brings together the public, private and third sectors to ensure that, as a city acting in unison, we remain dedicated to making a difference throughout a young person’s early life. Our purpose is to inspire, aspire and educate children and young people from the more deprived areas, who may not be offered the same opportunities as those from other parts of the City.
The City Council is asked to appoint two councillors as trustees to sit on the Board.
