Community Grants 2022/23





To support The Barefoot Project with a two-day residential trip to Lopwell Dam for 14-18 year olds including activity/excursion. This will help build stronger relationships between the young people and between them and the youth workers.




A donation via Big Give Christmas Challenge, in order for the charity to get match funding for their donation. Funding goes towards Trevi House with plans for further projects in progress to support more women and children across the city. This donation will be paid in December.




To support Woodfield Primary School with Sensory Grab Bags for the children that attend.


To support Porkie's Café with helping local residents who may not be able to have a Christmas lunch or are lonely by themselves without family.


A contribution towards fuel for the South West Blood Bikes that provides free volunteer out of hours emergency courier services to the NHS and other medical facilities (including University Hospitals Trust Plymouth and St Luke's Hospice)




To support Four Greens Community Centre with their Emergency Support programme for the Budshead Community. This will contribute towards a community larder that is accessed by over 100 people a week.


To support the OWSI project working with the Peninsula Dental School to bring dental health education to primary schools within the Budshead Ward with a contribution towards to costs of books and other items.


To support the Salvation Army with a contribution towards the costs of a new cooker and the associated materials needed so that organisation can provide support to vulnerable residents in the area.




To support the Derriford United Reform Church with a contribution towards the training of 12 individuals in first aid and the use of a defibrillator since a new defibrillator has been placed in this area.




To support Tamar View Community Complex with a contribution towards decorations and party resources needed for their Kings Coronation Celebration.


To support the Whitleigh Playcare organisation with a contribution towards offering reduced rate play sessions helping local families.


Contribution to repaint a disabled parking bay in Budshead Road




To support the Derriford United Reform Church with a contribution towards the costs of organising and preparing a street party to bring the community together for the Coronation.
